Job Specification:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Traffic CAD Operator for a 6-month contractual role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic control systems, CAD drafting, road and traffic planning, and the preparation of traffic-related drawings and documentation. This role supports the engineering team by delivering accurate and efficient CAD drawings for various traffic and transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and prepare detailed traffic control plans, barricade layouts, and traffic diversion schemes for road construction and maintenance projects.
- Create shop drawings for traffic signal systems, signage, and road layouts.
- Draft and update traffic control system layouts, including signals, signs, and pavement markings.
- Generate and revise road planning and traffic violation analysis drawings based on project requirements.
- Work closely with engineers and planners to produce accurate CAD drawings for submittals and approvals.
- Support the design of temporary traffic management and detour plans during construction phases.
- Interpret civil and traffic engineering concepts into detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Maintain an organized archive of project drawings, ensuring version control and compliance with company standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CAD Operator, specifically in traffic and transportation projects.
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is an advantage); experience with other CAD platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering standards and signage regulations.
- Familiarity with traffic safety regulations and work zone guidelines.
