ELV DRAFTSMAN

We are seeking experienced CAD Operators to support ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems design and documentation on a short-term outsourced basis in Qatar. The successful candidates will be responsible for producing accurate, coordinated CAD drawings across a range of ELV disciplines to support project design, shop drawing submissions, and as-built documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and update CAD drawings (2D layouts, schematics, riser diagrams, and details) for ELV systems.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP layouts to avoid clashes and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and submittal packages as directed by the design/engineering team.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant international and Qatar-specific standards (QCS, NFPA, BICSI, TIA/EIA, etc. as applicable).
• Liaise with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to incorporate design changes and revisions promptly.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and proper documentation/version tracking.
• Support tender and proposal documentation with drawing packages as required.

Scope of ELV Systems (including but not limited to):

• CCTV Systems
• Access Control Systems (ACS)
• Audiovisual (AV) Systems
• Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA)
• Structured Cabling / IT Infrastructure
• Other related ELV systems (Intrusion Detection, Building Management System interfaces, Intercom, etc.)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on CAD experience within ELV/low‑current systems design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) is mandatory; experience with Revit MEP or BIM tools is an advantage.
• Solid working knowledge of ELV system layouts, schematics, and cable/containment routing.
• Familiarity with Qatar/GCC project standards and local authority requirements (e.g., Ashghal, Kahramaa) preferred.
• Prior experience working with MEP consultants, ELV contractors, or system integrators in the region.

• Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines under an outsourced/contract arrangement.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Immediate or short-notice availability preferred, given the short contract duration.
