SHES Specialist (Offshore Brownfield & HUC)
Identify and control project risks using risk assessments Method Statements and JSAs to ensure safe execution Conduct regular audits and safety inspections to ensure risk controls are in place and effective Conduct safety observations to identify risks and improve safety performance Provide onboarding as required and job-specific training to ensure a competent workforce and safe work practices Coordinate with Contractor Emergency Response Team to ensure the effective implementation of Contractor s Emergency Response Plans Coordinate security risk assessments and implement effective security controls at all project locations Investigate incidents and near misses to identify causes implement corrective actions and improve safety performance Participate in lessons learned activities to share knowledge and continuously improve safety performance Participate in SHES Steering Committee meetings to review performance and drive safety improvements Maintain effective coordination with construction project and operations teams to resolve SHES issues and support safe project execution
Bachelors degree in sciences, safety, health, environment, security, or engineering or NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, SHES related NVQ level 5, or British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. 8 years' experience in SHES in the Oil & Gas Industry. Broad experience in execution of major projects and in the Brownfield of Onshore/Offshore production facilities.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Knowledge of relevant SHES management systems and programs. Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to influence decisions using presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills. Ability to manage development and implementation of Projects Managements Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry. Requires strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
