As Interface Coordinator you will be part of the Project / Engineering / Operations Department with Client. You will support managing and coordinating all interfaces across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
How can you support us? Here are below main job responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain Interface Management Plans, Interface Registers, and Interface Agreements across all project phases, ensuring proper tracking and closure of interface actions
- Identify, define, and manage internal and external interfaces (technical, physical, organizational, and operational) between engineering disciplines, contractors, and third parties
- Act as the primary focal point for all interface-related matters between client, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Coordinate and facilitate interface meetings, technical reviews, and workshops
, ensuring alignment and timely resolution of issues - Ensure proper integration of engineering deliverables, specifications, and system designs
, identifying and resolving clashes or inconsistencies - Define system boundaries, battery limits, and interdependencies between project packages and disciplines
- Monitor and track interface deliverables against project schedules, milestones, and KPIs
, ensuring timely closure of interface actions - Maintain and manage interface registers, technical logs, and query registers
, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting - Facilitate cross-functional coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure project alignment
- Identify, assess, and mitigate interface-related risks
, maintaining risk registers and ensuring proactive issue resolution - Support Management of Change (MOC) processes and ensure proper evaluation of interface impacts
- Coordinate interfaces during construction, commissioning, startup, shutdown, and brownfield/tie-in activities
- Ensure compliance with project procedures, contractual requirements, and interface agreements across all stakeholders
- Prepare interface reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and progress updates for project management
- Proactively identify and elevate critical interface issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
- 7–15 years’ experience in EPC/EPCM/PMC projects, preferably within oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Proven experience in interface coordination, project engineering, or integration roles
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary, multi-contractor project environments
- Experience in brownfield, offshore, or complex execution projects is an advantage
Skills:
- Strong understanding of interface management processes and project lifecycle (FEED to commissioning)
- Knowledge of risk management, planning, cost control, and change management processes
- Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Experience with interface management systems and document control platforms
- Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Some travelling may be required within the Middle East and offshore/onshore project locations
