Key Responsibilities- Plan and support effective implementation of maintenance plans for assigned areas within maintenance, contributing to the coordination of shutdowns and major projects in accordance with maintenance strategy and HSE standards.
- Prepare detailed work orders, specifying requirements for materials, spare parts, and planning cards for all electrical preventive maintenance and repair jobs.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers for the preparation of weekly and shutdown maintenance job planning cards and scheduling activities.
- Verify work requests/orders received in the system from various locations and ensure they are scheduled according to priorities and resource availability.
- Identify spare parts for electrical equipment, determine quantities, and prepare specifications for procurement and inventory stock.
- Visit plant sites to prepare equipment and spare parts specifications for creation in SAP and CMMS databases.
- Prepare scope of work for electrical services required for tendering by contractors.
- Carry out technical evaluations of contractor bids for supply, services, and contract agreements; conduct technical discussions with vendors for clarifications and requirements.
- Maintain and update maintenance histories for electrical equipment and systems in assigned areas.
- Plan major overhaul, shutdown, and turnaround activities in coordination with production and other departments.
- Coordinate with other discipline planners and maintenance engineers for manpower forecasts, spare parts, equipment, and timing to optimize plant downtime utilization.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans, seek approval, and implement them using effective scheduling techniques.
- Review equipment performance and recommend reliable maintenance methods.
- Define milestones, major activities, relationships between activities, and create budget estimates to achieve target dates using appropriate software.
- Participate in meetings with production and maintenance departments for effective implementation of maintenance programs.
- Coordinate with turnaround teams to monitor and analyze the status of activities and assist in scheduling and execution of critical jobs.
- Coordinate and liaise with contractors for project execution and validate project performance within set parameters.
- Perform regular site inspections to follow up on work progress and ensure adherence to approved schedules.
- Review invoices as per purchase orders and conduct initial validation in line with defined policies and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of all data related to maintenance planning in SAP according to defined protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
- Collaborate with HSE and Quality teams on process safety, maintaining and updating system documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties such as observing safety rules and regulations and following quality procedures as prescribed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of field experience in maintenance of electrical systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in maintenance planning roles within petrochemical or oil & gas industries.
- Ability to use all related tools and instruments.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards related to electrical discipline and materials.
- Awareness of proper maintenance techniques.
- Detailed understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance theory.
- Strong planning, organizational, and integration skills.
- Analytical, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Inventory management skills.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Positive attitude and strong personality.
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office and project management software.
- Familiarity with CMMS applications and experience using SAP.
