Coordinator - Service Coordination

The role holder is responsible for effectively providing the necessary assistance in coordinating the construction activities and operations of electricity distribution network with various internal and external stakeholders and ensure smooth day to day operations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Liaises with all relevant directorates, departments and sections to coordinate all the construction operations and activities
• Sends out R01 and receives R02 to different serving departments like ASHGHAL, MMUP, Sewerage, Q-Tel, HMS, MMA etc. in line with established guidelines
• Reviews daily and updates status of all applied RO1 (approved, to be returned to Kahramaa planning, rejected by relevant authorities)
• Generates newly approved RO2 permits record in the logbook every day and submits to the respective focal points
• Issues RO3 & RO4 to Kahramaa contractors
• Prepares weekly monitoring report on all issues related to RO's and attending the RO coordination meetings with relevant authorities and agencies
• Collaborates with planning engineers and engineers at the construction site to provide all the necessary technical support
• Liaises with contractors to provide the necessary assistance pertaining to permissions and licenses from regulatory authorities
• Responds to contractor and consultant inquires on all matters related to construction of electricity distribution network equipment
• Resolves any issues pertaining to contracts of contractors and liaise with Senior Engineer
  -Service coordination for the same
• Develops the necessary reports and documents as and when required and ensures timely submission to Senior Engineer - Service Coordination
• Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification.
• Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations

• Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
• Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
• Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

More than 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role of which minimum 4 years of supervisory experience preferably in the area of Service Coordination
