Job Description
Crystal Oilfield Services, a leading Middle East Oil & Gas EPC company with over two decades of industry experience, is hiring an Estimation Engineer to join our Qatar operations. Through our Qatar entity and subsidiary CVSF, we deliver Engineering, Procurement & Construction solutions for major industrial and Oil & Gas projects across Qatar and the GCC.
We're looking for someone who can independently manage the full estimation cycle: BOQ → Quantity Take-Off → Vendor Quotations → Cost Analysis → Tender Pricing → Commercial Evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and quantity take-offs for Oil & Gas EPC projects in Qatar
- Review tender documents, engineering drawings, specifications and scope of work
- Prepare competitive and accurate tender pricing
- Conduct market research, cost analysis and price benchmarking in the Qatar market
- Obtain, evaluate and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams for technical/commercial input
- Support preparation and submission of tenders and commercial bids
- Participate in vendor/subcontractor negotiations and commercial evaluations
- Maintain and update estimation cost databases and pricing records
Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas / EPC / Industrial Construction Estimation
- Strong background in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off and cost estimation
- Solid knowledge of civil construction methodologies and industry standards
- Experience managing vendors, subcontractors and quotations
- Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills
- Familiarity with Qatar market pricing highly preferred
- Prior Oil & Gas / EPC project experience in Qatar is a strong advantage
- Excellent MS Excel / MS Office skills
- ERP or cost-management software experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines
Candidates without relevant Oil & Gas / EPC estimation experience are not encouraged to apply.
