Electrical Engineering Specialist
Job Purpose
Advise and support electrical engineering activities during the EPC and start-up phases until handover to the permanent asset, whilst ensuring project deliverables meet Operations expectations in terms of safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability throughout the facility design lifecycle.

Internal Interfaces- Regular contact with Project Management Team (PMT) and Operations departments.
- Periodic contact with Engineering & Projects and HSEQ Group.
- Frequent contact with shareholders’ Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), EPC contractors, vendors, suppliers, and engineering consultants.
- Effectively influence project decisions by considering not only CAPEX but also OPEX throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with QG specifications, processes, and procedures for assigned projects.
- Participate in reviews and provide technical inputs to designs and procedures for the implementation of approved field operations while mitigating risks associated with new technologies introduced by the project.
- As defined for this job level in the Delegation of Authority and/or approved budget.

Key Accountabilities- Provide a variety of Electrical Engineering support to contribute to division strategy and goals, including design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement surveillance and administration programs for critical Electrical Systems of new projects to achieve high standards of reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommend performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities while meeting section and division KPIs.
- Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as required to support overall business objectives.
- Control and supervise electrical engineering activities undertaken by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing company integrity and reliability systems.
- Support and facilitate smooth completion of project tie-in requirements for all systems under the area of responsibility.
- Maintain an Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues, including new technology risks that could impact project reliability, availability, and cyber security.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities for high-complexity and large-scale projects by undertaking stringent
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in an Oil & Gas environment.
- Attained specialist-level competencies as per Electrical Technical Competencies requirements.
- Ability to work and make decisions under highly stressful conditions.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Computer literacy with regular use of professional office and technical applications.
