Develop inspection and testing program to mitigate all risks identified through RBI that may cause a hazardous chemical release or production loss. Carry Out day to day inspection activity of assigned area/plant as per inspection schedule.

Accountabilities Plant Inspection of Pressure Vessels, Piping and Tanks
  • Attend Corrective repair inspection on need basis. This includes preparing/approving Repair and alteration travel sheets and stage wise inspection.
  • Prepare inspection reports and inspection recommendations after documenting inspections in Meridium and generating SAP Notifications. Follow up of Inspection Recommendations with maintenance and Production until completion.
  • PRV Schedules, Documentation and updating Meridium. Turnaround Inspection and Documentation. Weekly Call out and leave coverage of colleague.
Designated Site Representative for external NDT Technicians and inspectors
  • Arrang and coordinate NDT Technicians, Contract inspectors and external contractors, Verifying Contractor Quality requirements, documentation.
  • Conduct Toolbox talks, safety coaching and supervision of Contract inspectors and technicians.
  • Projects Inspection, Welder Qualification, Verification of Quality Documents Lead Team of Contract Inspectors/ NDT Technicians during turnaround.
RITs and other reliability improvement efforts
  • Identify Reliability Improvement opportunities and initiate proactive actions to prevent failures and reduce risk to plant personal and equipment.
  • Attend Multidisciplinary RIT meetings and carry forward reliability improvement efforts. Attend Coordination meetings with Production / Maintenance and Technical.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis along with assigned stationary equipment engineer and act provide all field data and observations.
OE Compliance, ISO 9001, Responsible Care and Insurance Requirements
  • Follow up all action tracker items related to Mechanical Integrity and ensure that all are completed before due date.
  • Ensure that all Mechanical Integrity requirements of Plant Insurer are met and successfully manage insurance Audits.
  • Conduct internal audits in time to ensure compliance of MI procedures. Ensure that company succeeds in OE, ISO, Responsible care and Insurance Audits.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes, and practices taking into account ‘international leading practices’ in order to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide critical input to support the development of Equipment Reliability Section’s systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure team members comply with all Equipment Reliability Section’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across Equipment Reliability Section to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Reporting
  • Prepare relative reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet the departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Qatarization
  • Contribute to the development of Qatari employees. This accountability is applicable to expatriate employees only.
Qualifications & Experience Education

Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial and Systems Engineering / Physics / Chemistry.

Preferred :
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial and Systems Engineering / Chemistry.

Experience

Required : 3-5 years of experience in the O&G Industry.

Preferred :
Experience in Petrochemicals Industry.

Certifications requirements for the plant inspector:
  • API-570
    - Piping Inspector.
  • API-653
    - Above ground storage tank inspector.
Other Job Specific Requirements and/or Vocational Accreditations
  • Expertise in corrosion control/cathodic protection, non-destructive testing, and risk analysis
  • Hands-on experience pressure vessel, piping, and welding inspection
  • Ability to generate inspection reports.
  • In-depth understanding of inspection management and scheduling
