Mechanical Technician Wanted

Required conditions:

• The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in the maintenance of various rotating and stationary equipment and piping systems, including compressors, pumps, shafts, heat exchangers, vessels, and valves in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
• Leading by example, and coordinating complex processes with other stakeholders in a professional manner.
• You should have good knowledge and understanding of the different process equipment.
• Leading the execution of mechanical equipment maintenance activities to ensure availability/technical safety through the execution of daily mechanical maintenance work (PMs/CMs), including shutdown maintenance.
• Leading and directing the Shell team and contractor partners for assigned jobs/tasks.
• Experience in factory shutdown/turnaround activity.
• Training and developing national technicians integrated into the maintenance team and the ability to mentor junior colleagues.
• Experience working with the SAP system is essential.
• Practical experience in oxygen system maintenance jobs would be an added advantage.
• Practical experience and coordination will be added to online leak prevention jobs.
• Knowledge in change management will be added as an advantage.
• You must have the skill to read and understand isometric drawings, process engineering flowcharts (PEFS), and cross-sectional drawings.
• - Performing and leading many specialized mechanical tasks such as repairing rotating equipment, replacing mechanical seals, inspecting stationary equipment, piping systems, etc.
• Work efficiently within the maintenance team, and strive to add value wherever possible.
• Identifying the problematic areas and deriving possible solutions.
• Experience in troubleshooting and analyzing equipment failures is required.
• The job holder must have knowledge of scientific principles, various measurement principles, basics of engineering, and computer technology.
• The job holder must be able to work within a multicultural team environment and must be able to communicate effectively.
• The candidate must have a minimum of a diploma in mechanical engineering.
• You should have basic knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint Presentation.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• The candidate must be able to prioritize, organize and execute maintenance activities independently, work to challenge schedules and manage conflicting priorities.
