We are looking for an experienced OSP / FTTx Network Designer to handle outside plant (OSP) fixed-network design and planning in line with commercial and technical requirements. The role involves fibre-network design, technical drawings and documentation, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), site-team coordination, feasibility studies and support for major bids.
What we're looking forQualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in OSP and ISP network design and planning.
- Hands-on experience designing and planning FTTH/FTTx fibre networks.
- Experience preparing fibre-optic network designs, topology layouts, fibre splice plans, cable duct layouts and routing plans.
- Experience using AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office tools for network design and planning.
- Experience preparing and updating network design documentation in IMS.
- Experience developing Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for materials, equipment and components required for projects.
- Experience supporting the physical implementation of designs and identifying potential implementation challenges.
- Experience coordinating with site teams and using survey reports to support design planning.
- Experience supporting feasibility studies and contributing to sales activities and major bids.
- Strong understanding of OSP/ISP fixed-network design and planning, including FTTH, backhaul networks and LDN.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to prepare fibre-optic network designs, topology layouts, fibre splice plans, cable duct layouts and routing plans.
- Ability to analyse commercial and technical requirements and translate them into network design solutions.
- Experience reviewing site survey reports and incorporating field conditions into fibre routes and network layouts.
- Ability to prepare and update design drawings and documentation in IMS.
- Ability to develop accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for project materials, equipment and components.
- Ability to support physical implementation of designs and identify potential design or routing issues.
- Experience coordinating with site teams on survey reports and design implementation requirements.
- Ability to support feasibility studies and contribute to sales activities and major bids
