Senior Accountant

Job Description

ECCO Gulf Majorel Qatar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for a seasoned professional looking to contribute to a dynamic and growing company. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions.

• Lead and support the year-end closing process, and coordinate with the external auditor for final review.
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accuracy of all transactions and timely closure.
• Supervise In-cashflow, invoicing, collections, and overall accounting operations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual budget and performing variance analysis.
• Support management with custom financial reports and analytical insights.
• Ensure all accounting records are organized, up-to-date, and properly documented.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and provisions for accurate reporting.
• Participate in process automation and enhance ERP workflows.
• Set clear priorities, manage tasks efficiently, and guide junior accountants when required.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, including auditing, bank reconciliation, and year-end closing.
• Experience in service industry accounting is a strong advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, automation).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or a Master’s degree are highly preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with auditors and management.
