Brand Controlling Manager - Group Finance | Middle East, Dubai, UAE

We are hiring for a Brand Controlling Manager for Volkswagen Group Middle East to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The main goals and objectives for this role are,

• Planning and controlling budgets and targets of the assigned Brand or Group Areas to accomplish financial goals.
• Responsible Controlling Areas :
  Brand and respective Group Area departments in line with company requirements and guidelines.
• Design, implementation and execution of adequate controls and procedures directed to ensure a predictable and consistent development of the business in the area of responsibility while fostering discipline and accountability in regard to the use of limited resources.
• Provide financial consultation to the assigned Brand or Group Service Area by rendering fact-based recommendations and advice on operational and strategic plans and discussions.

• Develop and deliver the Cost elements and control mechanisms for the assigned Brand or Group departments.
• Planning Round (PR), Budget and monthly forecast for area of responsibility.
• Align all Brand or Group departments personnel & structural costs within the framework of the overall Planning Round (PR), Budget and monthly forecast.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analysis, variances and forecasting activities for P&L and volume targets.
• Responsible for tracking costs and margin development.
• Responsible in the development & coordination of proper analysis and variation between actual and forecast for management reporting.
• Monitor cost centre performance and communicate possible actions to budget custodians and Finance Director to minimize the risk of exceeding the budget or creating negative variances.
• Supporting the process of tactical claim tracking from controlling perspective for Brand.

• Prepare with high accuracy financial key figures for management presentation, financial reviews, and Board of director meetings.
• Operates in close cooperation with the Head of Departments.
• Perform standard and ad hoc analyses on company financials to support Group Finance Director with valuable financial input.

• Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to on day-to-day business operations. Instill discipline and accountability in the use of resources. Understand and enforce corporate policies and procedures.
• Evaluate new proposed procedures and ensure adherence to the Company’s established policies and procedures.
• Responsible for coordination with internal and external audit.

• This role will be actively operating, updating and implementing the following financially related systems : NADIN, IT, ISAC, FICO, KSRM and i.Serve. Qliksense.

• Provide support to Tax Function in developing and implementing Tax compliance management system and controls.
• Ensure that Tax implications are considered in financial planning and product pricing.
• Provide support to Tax Function during Tax audits.
• Keep abreast of current development in the tax landscape in the region.

For you to be successful in this role, you must possess below attributes :

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent. Preference of a Master of Science in Business Management or equivalent degree.
• 5 – 8 years progressive experience, with reputable entities
• Analytical and conceptual skills. Knowledge of (management-) accounting methods and instruments. Proficiency in relevant office applications.
• Relevant knowledge of Group reporting formats, policies and systems.
