About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Documentation Officer to join our Credit Risk Division. The successful candidate will provide strong administrative support to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of documentation for Corporate, SME, and Retail loan applications, including facility offer letters, collateral documents, and financing agreements.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and flag any issues related to missing documentation or non-compliance with policies to management immediately to prevent financial risk.
- Build and maintain strong networks across the Credit Risk Division and other interdependent divisions.
- Understand internal and external regulations for documentation requirements across all credit facilities and transactions.
- Prepare and review all documentation accurately and efficiently within agreed timelines.
- Ensure documents comply with internal policies and signature authority requirements.
- Provide guidance on complex financial arrangements or unusual transactions as needed.
- Assist with logistics such as:
- Arranging goods/vehicle inspections related to trade or vehicle finance.
- Coordinating registration of collaterals with relevant ministries and authorities.
- Arranging property valuations through approved evaluators.
- Ensuring insurance coverage of real estate properties and monitoring policies.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the Head of Documentation Unit.
- Collaborate effectively within the Credit Administration team and the wider Credit Risk Division.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, competitor activity, and recent innovations to enhance professional knowledge.
- Internal:
Head of Documentation Unit, Credit Risk Team, Corporate/SME/Retail Teams, Compliance Function, all employees as required. - External:
Regulatory bodies (including QCB), customers, external auditors.
- High School Diploma required;
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a financial services institution.
- Strong proficiency in English;
Arabic language skills are a plus.
