Description
Assistant Finance and Administration Manager – Permanent position in the Non‑Academic Administration Department. Reports to the Finance and Admin Manager and functional reporting to the Regional Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the FAM in overseeing the financial operations of the school.
- Prepare reports on the school’s financial performance.
- Develop and implement systems and controls to ensure accurate financial data processing.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting process.
- Manage the day‑to‑day processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury functions.
- Compile audit requirements for the annual, Transfer Pricing or GTA audits and attend audit queries.
- Approve purchase requests within the budgeted allocations.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations for completeness.
- Prepare the payroll in Pay‑lite monthly.
- Handle ad‑hoc duties as required.
- Review all supplier reconciliations monthly prior to payments.
- Manage all Capex spend across the school and ensure accurate recording thereof.
- Assist with parent queries daily.
- Act as a backup for the Senior Accountant and Accountant as required.
- Manage debt collection and contact debtors for overdue debt.
- Maintain and improve financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports per ISP deadlines.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies.
- Provide support to the FAM, Senior Accountant and Accountant.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (or related field) – required.
- Finance‑specific certification – preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- English mandatory;
Arabic an advantage.
- Excellent communication and people skills at all levels.
