Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The ideal candidate will ensure that all financial records are accurate, comply with legal and company standards, and provide valuable insights to management to aid in strategic decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and publish timely, accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) for internal and external use.
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes (e.g., journal entries, accruals, deferrals).
- Maintain the General Ledger and reconcile bank and financial accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure timely compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Direct and coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Prepare and analyze budget forecasts, tracking actual performance against projected figures.
- Analyze financial information and summarize the financial status to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or profitability improvement.
- Provide technical support and advice on management, cost analysis, and revenue enhancement.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field (Master's degree or CPA/CMA certification often preferred for senior roles). - Experience:
Proven work experience as an Accountant, Auditor, or Financial Analyst. - Technical Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Experience with General Ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Hands‑on experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle) and proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and financial modeling).
- Core Competencies (Soft Skills):
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to explain complex financial data to non‑finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
