Position SummaryThe CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, including financial planning and analysis, managing banking and investor relationships and ensuring the company’s financial health and sustainability. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills and a deep understanding of financial operations within the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Financial Leadership:
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with JMJ’s long‑term business objectives. - Provide strategic recommendations to the Chairman and Board of Directors based on detailed financial analysis and projections.
- Financial Planning and Management:
Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning to ensure disciplined fiscal management. - Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital and financial risk.
- Banking and Investor Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors and financial institutions. - Negotiate financing terms to support JMJ’s real‑estate projects and expansion plans.
- Feasibility Studies and Investment Analysis:
Conduct and review feasibility studies for new and ongoing projects to ensure financial viability. - Analyze investment opportunities to maximize returns and support strategic initiatives.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international standards. - Oversee the development and implementation of internal controls to enhance transparency and minimize risks.
- Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Drive initiatives to enhance the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. A Masters degree (e.g. MBA) or professional qualification (e.g. CPA, CFA, ACCA) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in the real‑estate or construction industry. Proven ability to manage financial operations for large‑scale projects and secure favorable financing.
- Skills: Strong expertise in financial planning, investment analysis and strategic management; exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills; proficiency in financial software and tools with knowledge of IFRS.
- Other Requirements: Experience working in the GCC region with familiarity with Qatar’s financial and regulatory environment. Fluency in English is required;
Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
