Overview
Our client is a leading conglomerate seeking to hire "Head of Banking Relationships & Investment". The Job holder is responsible for developing banking relationship of the Group and subsidiaries. This includes operational relationships with banks to ensure minimum interest rate and cost exposure, optimum levels of borrowing facility for individual subsidiaries and Group. Managing foreign currency risk and hedging the currency and interest rates at optimum levels.
The role involves liaising with local and international banking institutions to arrange for short or/and long-term financing, negotiating relevant documentation/s.
Responsibilities- Preparing vision and strategic borrowing & investment plans for the Group and reviewing with the Board.
- Implementing approved vision & plan.
- Assisting the Business Unit in finding, reviewing, and negotiating new business opportunities.
- Develop and Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to support the company's banking needs and investment activities.
- Negotiate and manage financial agreements, including credit facilities, debt financing, and other financial instruments
- Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and financial news to identify potential investment opportunities
- Develop and implement investment strategies that align with the company's financial goals
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential investments, including analyzing financial statements and market data
- Manage and oversee investment activities to ensure compliance with the company's investment policies and procedures
- Provide regular updates and reports on investment performance to senior management and the board of directors
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Work with other departments, such as accounting and finance, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of investment and banking activities
- Minimum of 10 years experience (5 years Corporate Banking) in similar role, preferably within a diversified group of companies
- Sound business and financial reporting skills
