The ideal candidate will be responsible to oversee the financial operations of Qatar science & technology park while managing the financial and operational aspects of our associated venture fund.

Responsibilities
  • Lead investment and co-investment processes, including opportunity evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, valuation, risk assessment, and ongoing portfolio performance monitoring.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial and investment reports to boards, government stakeholders, limited partners, and funding partners, including fund performance metrics and regulatory disclosures.
  • Oversee fund governance, regulatory compliance, and coordination with fund administrators, legal counsel, auditors, and tax advisors; maintain robust documentation and investor data rooms.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the Growth team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and integrating portfolio companies with QSTP programs and platforms.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with investors, venture capital and private equity funds, corporates, accelerators, research institutions, and government entities to support deal flow, partnerships, and ecosystem growth.
  • Design and implement modern, agile financial infrastructure, including AI-enabled automation, advanced analytics, integrated financial systems, dashboards, and governance frameworks to support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Support portfolio companies through financial advisory, operational guidance, and board participation as required, while identifying and cultivating investor and co‑investment networks.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring effective coordination, innovation, continuous improvement, and adherence to organizational policies and quality standards.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for QSTP park operations, incubator, accelerator programs, and investment activities, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Oversee all accounting, treasury, cash flow, and financial control functions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, international accounting standards, and governance requirements.
  • Develop financial models and conduct cost‑benefit and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives, including new programs, park expansions, partnerships, and revenue‑generating activities.
  • Oversee the team manage financial aspects of tenant, including leases, service contracts, revenue collection, occupancy metrics, and financial reporting.
  • Lead on the discussions and collaborations with QF Finance and QF external stakeholders for the matters related to QSTP budget, expenses, and revenue generation matters.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field & 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience, 3 of which at a supervisory level or master’s degree in a relevant field & 6 years of relevant full-time work experience.
  • Holds a relevant professional qualification (CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Experience working in the venture capital industry with exposure to fund management, finance, accounting, operations, and legal.
  • Start‑up experience as a founder or core team member preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the venture investment cycle.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in one or more of technology‑related fields.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in the tenets of start‑up assessment. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “investment readiness”.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business/team relationships.
  • Possess deep analytical skills to perform analyses on start‑ups and due diligence.
  • Exceed at building and maintaining business relationships, online and offline.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely;
    Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and in AI driven VC financial management tools.
