Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to run our finance function end to end You will manage accounts costing cash flow and banking and give management clear numbers to make better decisions Manufacturing or garment industry experience in Qatar or the GCC is strongly preferred

• Maintain the general ledger and complete month-end and year-end closing on time
• Prepare monthly management reports and annual financial statements IFRS
• Reconcile bank customer supplier and inter-company accounts monthly
• Manage receivables payables customer credit limits and collections
• Coordinate the annual external audit

• Maintain product cost sheets materials labour overheads and track order-wise profitability
• Reconcile inventory with warehouse records and investigate differences
• Review costs regularly and present practical cost-cutting proposals to management

• Prepare feasibility studies and financial projections for new projects products tenders and investments
• Prepare the annual budget and report budget vs actual every month
• Calculate staff and sales incentives accurately and on time

• Manage the daily cash position and prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and Relationship Managers
• Handle Letters of Credit bank guarantees performance bonds and trust receipts
• Prepare documents for credit facility applications and renewals
• Keep track of financing options in the market and recommend better rates terms and banking programs

• Process payroll through WPS and calculate end-of-service gratuity as per Qatar Labour Law
• File corporate and withholding tax returns with the General Tax Authority where applicable
• Maintain internal controls and approval procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  4–6 years of accounting experience, at least 2 in Qatar or the GCC.
• Hands-on cost accounting experience in manufacturing, garments, or textiles.
• Practical experience with LCs, bank guarantees, and credit facilities.
• Experience preparing feasibility studies and cash flow forecasts.
• Advanced Excel and experience with an accounting/ERP system (Tally, Quick Books, Zoho Books, Odoo, SAP Business One, or similar).
• Good written and spoken English.
• Preferred Experience with Qatar tax filing and WPS payroll.
• Currently in Qatar with a valid QID and able to join soon.
