We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Wealth Management to lead the wealth management proposition for a prominent, locally headquartered bank in Qatar.
In this leadership role at the Unit Head level, you will be responsible for defining and driving the strategic direction of our wealth management and investment offerings, ensuring alignment with the bank's broader private banking objectives and regulatory standards across the Qatari market.
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties- Strategic Leadership & Proposition Management: Lead the end-to-end development and execution of the bank's wealth-management proposition, encompassing investment products, advisory solutions, and discretionary portfolio services tailored to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.
- Product Governance & Suitability: Oversee rigorous product governance frameworks, ensuring all investment offerings strictly comply with regulatory mandates, risk parameters, and client suitability assessments.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Coordination: Act as the central bridge of coordination between Private Bankers, internal risk/compliance teams, and external product providers to streamline execution and elevate service delivery.
- Performance & Portfolio Growth: Drive revenue generation, asset under management (AUM) growth, and market penetration across local and regional wealth segments.
- Team Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product specialists, advisors, and investment professionals.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Investments, Economics, or a related quantitative or business discipline. (Postgraduate degrees or professional designations such as CFA, CAIA, or CFP are highly preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, or Asset Management, ideally within the GCC wealth management banking sector.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated leadership track record in managing wealth products, investment portfolios, cross-border solutions, and stringent client suitability/regulatory frameworks.
- Language Proficiency:
Arabic and English fluency is strictly mandatory to effectively manage stakeholder relations and regional client portfolios.
