Primary Purpose of the Job:Provide tax planning and advisory support for assigned Marketing Trading businesses, assets and activities. Analyse tax matters, provide practical / timely recommendations and coordinate with business stakeholders and external advisers to support informed decision-making, manage tax risks and protect Qatar Energy's interests.
RequiredExperience and Skills:
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of corporate and international tax principles. Knowledge of cross-border transactions, tax treaties, permanent establishment, and withholding tax matters. General understanding of indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax authority processes.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Commercial awareness and sound professional judgment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant tax experience in industry, professional services, or tax administration. Proven experience supporting international tax matters, commercial transactions, and cross-border operations. Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law or related discipline.
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CTA or equivalent) preferred.
