About the role
The Medical Assessor is to oversight supervise and manage AMEs and associated support staff to ensure that QCAA regulatory obligations are met and maintained for medical certificate holders and applicants. This includes the effective application, enforcement and implementation of established Standards and Regulations, issuing technical requirements and procedures in respect of Aeromedical Centres and Aeromedical Examiners for medical certification and administration of personnel and organizations involved in such tasks.
This role is also responsible for advising the QCAA management on all aspects relating to medical certification and aviation medicine compliance through the Director of Air Safety Department Section.
Minimum 5 years as Medical Assessor.
Requirements:
- Medical certification and assessment for aircrew, ATCOs, licence holders and applicants.
- Oversight and supervision of Aeromedical Examiners (AMEs) and Aeromedical centres (AeMC).
- Risk assessment, aeromedical conclusions, enforcements and resolution of safety issues for medical cases of licence holders and applicants.
