Optometrist job in Doha Qatar

We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Doha. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing professional eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams as well as fitting and prescribing corrective lenses. You will also be responsible for educating patients on the proper use of contact lenses and other vision-related products. Additionally, you will need to maintain accurate patient records and update them regularly.

This is a full-time position with competitive salary of 1300. We are also open to considering applications from foreign candidates.

• Provide comprehensive eye exams, including diagnosing vision conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma and cataracts.
• Perform refractions to determine eyeglass prescriptions.
• Fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses as needed.
• Educate patients on the proper use of contact lenses and other vision-related products such as reading glasses or sunglasses.
• Keep accurate patient records such as test results, medical history, medications prescribed or glasses fitted.
• Refer patients to other healthcare professionals when necessary for further diagnosis or treatment of ocular diseases or visual disorders.

• Bachelor's degree in Optometry or a related medical field plus at least two years' experience in a similar role is required.
• Must have a valid license from the Ministry of Health in Qatar in order to practice optometry legally in Qatar.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Must have excellent written skills with the ability to accurately record patient information into their database system.
• Knowledgeable about all safety procedures related to the practice of optometry.
