Job Title: Senior Legal Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice in the areas of compliance, sanctions, export control, anti-bribery and corruption, due diligence, competition, and governance.
• Drafting, reviewing, and updating legal policies, procedures, and compliance policies.
• Interpreting and applying compliance laws and regulations to the business strategies of the Qatar Airways Group.
• Managing and overseeing compliance issues and ensuring regulatory adherence.
• Identifying legal risks and developing effective remediation plans.
• Leading compliance training and awareness programs within the group.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and identify gaps and mitigation strategies.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in compliance, laws or auditing.
• Experience in a multicultural environment in legal affairs and risk management.
• At least 5 years of experience in a large organization or regulatory body.
• In-depth knowledge of sanctions, export controls, due diligence and data protection.
• A strong professional track record in handling complex issues and negotiating.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to lead, guide, and build work teams.
