Description:

We are seeking an experienced Backup & Storage Specialist to design, implement, and maintain our critical data protection and storage infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of data across our hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, and on-premises environments. You will manage enterprise backup solutions, primarily Commvault, and administer a diverse range of storage systems including SAN, NAS, VMware vSAN, and Nutanix HCI.

A key focus will be integrating these systems with our cloud presence in Azure and GCP for seamless hybrid operations. The ideal candidate will leverage automation and scripting to optimize processes, proactively monitor system health, and provide tier-2 support. You will apply ITIL best practices to manage incidents, resolve complex problems, and implement changes, ensuring robust business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

• Design, implement, and maintain data protection and storage infrastructure across hybrid cloud, hyperconverged, and on‑premises environments.
• Manage enterprise backup solutions (primarily Commvault) and administer storage systems (SAN, NAS, VMware vSAN, Nutanix HCI).
• Integrate storage and backup systems with Azure and Google Cloud Platform for seamless hybrid operations.
• Leverage automation and scripting to optimize backup and storage processes and monitor system health.
• Provide tier-2 support and apply ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities through robust design and execution.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise backup and storage administration across hybrid environments.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale data protection using Commvault, including Commvault Complete, Intelli Snap, and multi-site deduplication.
• Proficiency in administering enterprise storage systems (SAN/HCI), specifically with technologies like VMware vSAN, Nutanix, EMC SRDF, or HPE 3
  
  PAR.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware technologies (vCenter, NSX, vSAN) and Nutanix AHV for managing hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Strong command of managing storage and backup integrations in Azure (Blob, Files) and GCP (Cloud Storage).
• Advanced administration skills for both Windows Server and major Linux distributions (Red Hat, CentOS), including multi-pathing software.
• Demonstrated proficiency in scripting for automation using Power Shell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience applying ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management in an enterprise setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as VCP-DCV, NCP, Commvault Certified Administrator, AZ-104, or RHCSA.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM Templates or Terraform for cloud resource management.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools like Solar Winds, Nagios, or Splunk.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
