Iris Star Technologies is urgently seeking a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to support mission‑critical database environments in Qatar. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance optimization for enterprise‑grade Oracle systems.

As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale Oracle databases in a high‑availability environment. You will handle RAC, Dataguard, and ASM configurations, ensuring robust disaster recovery and secure data operations. The role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup/restore operations, and patching across complex infrastructures. You will also collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve database issues, enhance reliability, and support deployments.

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database environments (RAC, Dataguard, ASM)
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting of database issues
• Manage backup and recovery using RMAN, ensuring robust DR capabilities
• Apply security patches, version upgrades, and clustering configurations
• Monitor database performance, resource utilization, and system health
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams for smooth operations
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
• Support scalability and capacity planning initiatives

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on Oracle DBA experience
• Strong expertise with RAC, Dataguard, ASM, RMAN
• Proficiency working in Linux environments
• Experience in backup, DR planning, clustering, and patch management
• Ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues end‑to‑end
• Basic to intermediate understanding of cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, Azure, GCP)
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

• Experience with Exadata or engineered systems
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Dev Ops pipelines, or automation tools
• Shell scripting or Python for automation
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Understanding of advanced security mechanisms and audit frameworks
