About the RoleWe’re hiring a Head of Brand & Strategic Communications to own and evolve UTOPIA’s global brand narrative, ecosystem presence, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead brand strategy, content development, communications operations, and platform-wide storytelling that drives visibility, credibility, and traction.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You’ll architect the brand function while rolling up your sleeves to execute campaigns, content systems, and stakeholder messaging that move the needle.
You will oversee how we show up across channels, geographies, and entities, including The Utopia Studio, A-typical Ventures, The Radical Fund, and our cross-platform infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Brand LeadershipDefine and drive UTOPIA’s brand strategy across entities, regions, and stakeholder types.
Maintain a sharp, resonant narrative of the UTOPIA platform (Studio + Funds + UTOPIA as a group)
Own messaging architecture: boiler plates, brand decks, audience playbooks, FAQs.
Translate complex concepts (e.g., VC+Studio, AI-native execution, PODs) into clear external narratives.
Build and oversee a scalable, high-quality content engine across all UTOPIA group, across different channels and platforms (Linked In, Substack, Website, Events).
Develop and oversee content production: venture stories, founder interviews, IP pieces, newsletters.
Ensure all content drives strategic goals (visibility, pipeline conversion, platform positioning).
Manage UTOPIA’s social channels: editorial calendar, engagement, and growth.
Lead communications around key convenings and UTOPIA events.
Manage select press and media relations for milestone announcements and brand campaigns.
Build narratives that connect with domain experts, founders, LPs, and ecosystem partners.
Co-design joint campaigns with key partners (e.g., QDB) to elevate regional innovation stories.
Position UTOPIA leadership as thought leaders and public voices in key arenas.
Design brand and content journeys that lead to measurable conversion (e.g., founder/EIR sign-ups, talent applications, LP interest).
Build attribution logic across funnels to connect communications outputs with business outcomes.
Define and implement a brand measurement framework with leading and lagging indicators.
Track performance across engagement, share-of-voice, IP output, founder attribution etc.
Run quarterly brand performance reviews with leadership and adjust accordingly.
Build and manage a high-performing, cross-regional communications team (internal + freelance).
Oversee content systems: calendars, asset libraries, approval flows.
Design internal comms rhythms to align Studio, Fund, and Platform teams around key narratives.
Leverage AI tools for high-velocity content creation and cross-channel distribution.
Optimize UTOPIA’s visibility within AI-native ecosystems (LLMs, voice assistants, chatbots).
Develop and contribute to comms playbooks and launch strategies for The UTOPIA Studio ventures, as well as support Pre-Seed+ founders through Value Add support
UTOPIA’s narrative is widely understood, cited, and referenced across the Global South and beyond.
Founders, partners, and talent convert through content systems and strategic storytelling.
