-CCTV Infrastructure Specialist who will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of CCTV surveillance systems and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) to ensure reliable, high-availability video monitoring and core infrastructure services. This role focuses on integrating robust server technologies, database management, clustering solutions, and cloud integration to support secure, scalable video storage and retrieval operations across sports venues. The specialist will collaborate with security, IT operations, and compliance teams to minimize downtime, enhance system performance, and mitigate risks.
CCTV System Management and Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day operations of CCTV infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components, to ensure continuous surveillance coverage and data accessibility.
- Perform routine health checks, updates, and patching on CCTV servers and storage systems.
- Monitor system performance metrics using tools like Windows Performance Monitor and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, network latency issues, and integration problems with video management software (VMS).
- Implement backup and recovery procedures for video archives to prevent data loss.
- Design, deploy, and maintain hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) clusters supporting CCTV and core venue services.
- Configure and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) for scalable video and infrastructure workloads.
- Optimize cluster resources, including shared storage (SAN/NAS) and network load balancing for video streaming and infrastructure services.
- Perform firmware and software updates for HCI nodes.
- Ensure high availability and rapid failover for mission-critical systems.
- Design and maintain failover clustering and Always On availability groups for SQL databases supporting CCTV video metadata and storage.
- Set up and test Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) for redundant CCTV and HCI server nodes.
- Conduct regular failover drills and recovery time objective (RTO) assessments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans specific to surveillance and infrastructure systems.
- Administer Windows Server environments hosting CCTV and HCI applications, focusing on security hardening, performance tuning, and compliance.
- Deploy and manage Windows Server roles such as Hyper-V for virtualized environments and Active Directory for user access controls.
- Apply Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and security baselines, including encryption for video data at rest and in transit.
- Integrate CCTV and HCI systems with SIEM tools for logging and alerting on security events.
- Integrate CCTV and HCI infrastructure with cloud platforms for hybrid storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Manage cloud-based resources (VMs, storage) related to surveillance and infrastructure services.
- Ensure compliance with cloud security and cost management policies.
- Support cloud migration and hybrid operations for video and infrastructure workloads.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to CCTV and HCI infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, local surveillance laws) and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to audit access logs and ensure video data handling meets legal requirements.
- Document incidents, root cause analyses, and remediation actions for post-event reviews.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 2 years focused on surveillance or video systems and HCI.
- Proven track record in deploying and troubleshooting high-availability environments in enterprise settings.
- Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotations for critical system support.
