Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data & BI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and developing dashboards and reports that empower business decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes from multiple data sources.
- Develop and optimize data models and database structures to support efficient data access and reporting.
- Create and manage dashboards, reports, and visualisations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all reporting and analytics layers.
- Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot data‑related issues as they arise.
- Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to ensure smooth data integration and delivery.
- Support data warehouse development and maintenance using cloud/on‑premise platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Maintain documentation related to data architecture, processes, and tools.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and BI technologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or BI Engineer.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as SQL Server, Postgre
SQL, MySQL, or Snowflake. - Experience in developing BI solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and ETL frameworks.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Google Big Query, etc.).
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and GDPR compliance principles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, etc.).
- Full‑time position.
- May require occasional extended hours or weekends depending on project timelines.
- Hybrid/On‑site/Remote as per company policy.
