Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Cloud Platforms Administrator I to support the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) contract at Doha, Qatar.

The Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Provide Tier 2/3 (diagnosis, analysis and troubleshooting and resolution for more complex/advanced network, client and end-user connectivity issues escalated by Tier 1 or 2 technical support staff);
• Install, configure, operate, manage, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, inspect and maintain virtual server systems in the DoD localized Cloud environment;
• Deploy Cloud Foundry (or equivalent) instances, and develop test and push applications into production;
• Build, install, configure and maintain software and affiliated systems through the cloud implementation pipeline;
• Perform application security patching, upgrades and enhancements;
• Manage and maintain user accounts for virtual systems and applications in cloud environment;
• Monitor virtual machines and application use and performance using automated tools;
• Monitor system logs for errors and failures, and perform appropriate troubleshooting and maintenance;
• Detect, analyze and resolve problems associated with platform, operating system and application software of virtual systems;
• Monitor equipment and systems for indications of warnings, faults, alarm conditions and outages; and provide component and system fault isolation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and restoration services;
• Troubleshoot until the source of the condition, degradation or outage is identified, and implement corrective actions and repairs to restore affected equipment, systems or services to full operational capability;
• Design, write, modify and implement software programs/applications;
• Develop "glue‑ware" to support operational client applications and security patches;
• Provide Tier 2 technical support;
• Install, configure, operate, manage, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, inspect and maintain server systems (physical and virtual), including administration of core and functional services;
• Manage and administer user accounts, profiles and access;
• Monitoring user access and adherence to established policies and procedures to ensure a secure operating environment;
• Monitor workstation and server logs for errors and failures and perform appropriate troubleshooting and maintenance;
• Provide technical assistance for assigned projects;
• Provide desktop, server and software application integration support;
• Operate and maintain monitoring and analysis tools; and detect, analyze and resolve platform, infrastructure and system problems;
• Document system administration procedures, instructions, configurations, changes and upgrades;
• Assist with creation, modification and maintenance of documentation required for platform, system and software certification and accreditation (C&A); and
• Update and maintain as‑built cloud platform configuration and connectivity drawings, diagrams and documentation, and publish semi‑annually;
• Other duties as required.

• Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Regulation Requirement:
  Due to Qatar's immigration and labor regulations, Qatar work visas cannot be issued to individuals aged 60 or over, and are not subject to a waiver. Additionally, foreign nationals aged 60 or older are unable to renew their Qatari visa or change sponsors. Therefore, per Qatar work visa regulations, candidates must be 59 years of age or younger to be eligible for a Qatari work visa as required for this position.
• DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher.
• 2+ years Cloud Foundry experience; or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Administrator, Amazon Web Services Certified Developer, Dev Ops Foundation or equivalent certification.
• VMware Certified Associate (VCA) or equivalent certification; and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification.
