Data Quality Resource (Qatar Data Trust Index & Open Data)

Position Summary
The Data Quality Resource will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of open data, specifically aligned with Qatar’s QDTI (Qatar Data Trust Index) standards. An essential component of this role is also to possess a strong understanding of open data concepts, ensuring that data practices support transparency, accessibility, and public sharing where applicable. This position involves monitoring data processes, implementing quality controls, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance data quality and open data initiatives across Government Entities.

• Assess and monitor data quality based on Qatar Data Trust Index guidelines and best practices.
• Develop and implement data validation and cleansing procedures.
• Work closely with data owners, data stewards, IT teams, and business units to identify and resolve data issues.
• Document data quality metrics and provide regular reports to management.
• Support data migration and transformation projects, ensuring compliance with Data Trust Index standards.
• Promote and implement open data practices, ensuring that data is accessible and in line with open data policies and strategies.
• Facilitate training and awareness on open data principles and the benefits of data transparency.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in data quality management and data quality.
• Familiarity with Qatar Data Trust Index frameworks and requirements.
• Awareness of open data concepts, including data sharing, licensing, and open data standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of data profiling and data cleansing tools is preferred.

• Experience with data management platforms and reporting tools.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance standards in Qatar.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience with open data portals and platforms is an advantage.
