Responsibilities
The seconded staff will provide engineering services for establishing and sharing a database with historical rainfall data. The tasks include creating common metadata structures and database schemas, developing data sources, and building a central database. All work will be performed under the supervision of the client’s representative and in accordance with their directions.
Qualifications- 15 years of experience in establishing and sharing databases for historical rainfall data, creating common metadata structures, database schemas, data sources, and central databases.
- BS in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a scientifically related field. An advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Proficiency in Java, Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), R, Python, and Matlab.
