Overview
Primary purpose of the job:
To develop and maintain an integrated, fit-for-purpose portfolio, programme, and project performance reporting capability, enabled by enterprise systems and digital platforms, to support informed, timely decision‑making by Project Services and Directorate leadership.
- Design, maintain, and continuously enhance project and portfolio performance reports and dashboards aligned with corporate and directorate requirements.
- Serve as the business focal point for project and portfolio performance reporting systems, ensuring full alignment with SAP S/4
HANA (PS/EPPM) and enterprise reporting platforms. - Translate business performance and reporting requirements into functional system and data models in close collaboration with ICT and system owners.
- Develop and manage business intelligence dashboards, analytics, and trend reports to deliver actionable insights on cost, schedule, progress, risks, and overall performance.
- Coordinate, consolidate, and synthesise inputs from project teams, Planning, Cost & Budget, and subject matter experts to produce clear, executive-level management reports and presentations.
- Enable portfolio-level visibility and cross-project analysis by identifying trends, variances, risks, and improvement opportunities to support management oversight.
- Identify and promote opportunities for automation and digitisation of reporting and performance management processes; prepare business cases, define functional requirements, and support benefits realisation.
- Analyse process and system performance data to drive efficiency, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders (Projects, Planning, Cost, ICT) to ensure data quality, reporting consistency, and strategic alignment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of project and portfolio management principles.
- Proven experience with ERP and project systems, ideally SAP S/4
HANA (PS / EPPM). - Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
