Job Title:

Business Analyst – Consultant Job Profile / Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst Consultant with strong expertise in the Finastra EQUATION Core Banking System
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, supporting system implementation and integration, managing testing activities, and ensuring smooth coordination between business users, technical teams, and vendors. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, banking domain knowledge, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions within deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and prepare Functional Specifications for development and testing activities.
  • Analyze and map business processes to improve operational efficiency and system functionality.
  • Manage defect lifecycle activities including issue tracking, resolution follow-up, and execution status reporting.
  • Conduct test scope analysis, regression testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Support integration activities between Core Banking Systems and other banking applications.
  • Provide technical and functional assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures across business and support functions.
  • Coordinate with system analysts, developers, and vendors to design and implement business solutions.
  • Track, manage, and document changes to business and system specifications.
  • Prepare system business cycle specifications and monitor output controls, calculations, and postings.
  • Create and support the preparation of user manuals, procedures, training materials, and documentation.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, project discussions, and performance assessments.
  • Provide application support and respond to queries from internal users, external customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, ethics, confidentiality, and data protection standards.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of continuous experience in Finastra EQUATION Core Banking System implementation, support, and business analysis activities.
  • Strong experience in Core Banking Systems and Loan Administration Systems.
  • Hands-on experience in system integration with Core Banking applications.
  • Proven experience in functional specification preparation, testing, and defect management.
  • Experience in banking operations, business process analysis, and workflow mapping.
  • Prior experience in banking or financial services environments is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with vendors and multiple stakeholders within banking environments.
  • Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred.
  • GCC/local banking experience will be considered an advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong expertise in Finastra EQUATION Core Banking System
    .
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
    Arabic is preferable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven and high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels and external vendors.
  • Commitment to quality, accountability, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks independently with ownership and responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, compliance, and data confidentiality standards.
