Senior Cloud Expert

Key Responsibilities

• Architect cloud platforms on AWS and or Microsoft Azure aligned to the client’s enterprise architecture
• Design and operate landing zones, account subscription strategies and identity federation
• Govern cloud security baseline – IAM, KMS, network controls, logging, compliance posture
• Lead cloud cost optimisation (Fin Ops) – tagging, rightsizing, reserved capacity, governance dashboards
• Architect and operate container platforms – Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, on‑prem service mesh, registry
• Build and govern Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines
• Architect hybrid connectivity – Direct Connect, Express Route, VPN, SD‑WAN
• Drive cloud migration of on‑prem workloads – discovery, assessment, migration waves
• Govern cloud‑native development standards – twelve‑factor, observability, secrets management
• Mentor cloud engineers and provide architectural leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related
• 8+ years’ experience in cloud engineering, with 4+ at senior or expert level
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Solutions Architect Expert mandatory
• Strong Kubernetes operations experience (CKA / CKAD preferred)
• Hands‑on Terraform (or Cloud Formation / Bicep) at production scale
• Dev Ops tooling – Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions, Argo CD
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash
• Native or fluent Arabic and professional English preferred (not mandatory)

• Multi‑cloud (AWS + Azure) certifications
• Hashi Corp Certified Terraform Associate / Vault Operations
• Cloud security certifications – AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer
• Fin Ops Certified Practitioner
• Prior Qatar government cloud transformation experience
