Overview
SR. SYSTEM ENGINEER (DEVELOPMENT) - DATA SCIENTIST / DATA ANALYST (POWER BI)
Qualifications- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus.
- Experience in designing and building user-friendly and intuitive applications.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and business process automation concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies.
- Experience with other Microsoft technologies like Azure, SharePoint, and Office 365 is a plus.
- Experience optimising licence utilisation and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Possess a deep understanding of the Power Platform licensing models (Power Apps per user/per app, Power Automate flows, Power BI Pro, Dataverse storage) and their cost implications.
- Experience in database design in addition to writing efficient queries.
- Work Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience developing solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
- Developed solutions using Dataverse.
- Developed solutions/applications using Model-driven Apps.
- Automated business processes / approval workflows using Power Automate and Dataverse.
- Developed Power Apps solutions to automate processes involving multiple users with various security roles or permissions.
- Design, develop, and deploy custom business applications using Power Apps, catering to diverse departmental needs and user requirements.
- Build automated workflows with Power Automate to improve process efficiency and eliminate manual tasks.
- Create clear and concise reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights and data visualisation.
- Utilise Dataverse and other databases to securely store and manage application data.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, and define solution success metrics.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code adhering to best practices and security standards.
- Document solutions thoroughly, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
- Provide ongoing support and training to users on developed solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform features and functionalities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage the Power Platform for further process improvement and innovation.
- Analyse business needs and user profiles to recommend the most cost-effective licence configuration for each solution.
- Advise stakeholders on potential licensing issues and strategies for optimising licence utilisation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to manage licenses effectively and track usage patterns.
- Design captivating and user-centric interfaces for Power Apps, ensuring intuitive navigation, accessibility, and optimal user experience across devices.
- Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine the design for optimal usability.
