The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate written translation and interpretation services, translating a wide range of technical, business, and administrative documents between English and Arabic. This includes correspondence, reports, forms, articles, technical manuals, and other instructional materials, while ensuring accuracy, consistency, confidentiality, and preservation of the original meaning and intent.

We envisage success in this role to include;

• Translating technical, business, legal and operational documents from Arabic to English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, consistency and preservation of the original meaning, intent and tone.
• Reviewing, proofreading, editing and finalizing translated materials prepared by internal teams and external providers.
• Ensuring translated content complies with established standards for terminology, clarity, style, formatting and quality.
• Researching and applying appropriate legal, technical and industry-specific terminology to support translation assignments.
• Liaising with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across translated documents.
• Developing, maintaining and enhancing translation guidelines, reference materials and terminology databases.
• Preparing translation reports, records and supporting documentation as required.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive company documents, information and correspondence.
• Supporting knowledge sharing initiatives and mentoring junior translators where required.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of translation processes, tools and quality standards.
• Supporting additional translation and language-related assignments in line with business requirements.

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5+ years experience in technical translation (prefereably realted to railways and transportation) partnered with Bachelor's Degree in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, Arabic, English or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in Arabic-English translation within a technical, engineering, infrastructure, transportation or corporate environment.
• Native or near-native proficiency in both Arabic and English, with exceptional written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of technical, legal and business terminology.
• Excellent proofreading, editing and quality assurance skills.
• Proficiency in translation software and terminology management tools is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
