AMI System Operator

Responsibilities

• Monitors and manages AMI systems including Head End System (HES), Meter Data Management (MDM) and communication networks;
  Ensures continuous and seamless communication between smart meters and central systems
• Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves AMI system issues related to connectivity, data flow and system performance
• Escalates complex or unresolved technical issues to higher support levels or vendors following defined procedures
• Analyzes AMI operational data to provide system performance insights and operational reports
• Performs first‑level diagnosis of communication failures and network performance degradation
• Coordinates with IT, metering, telecom and field teams to ensure system reliability and performance
• Supports system configuration, updates and minor enhancements under supervision
• Maintains system logs, incident records and operational documentation
• Ensures compliance with ISO, ISMS, BCMS and cyber security policies related to system operations
• Ensures adherence to corporate Health and Safety and operational procedures
• Performs any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in AMI system monitoring, MDM/HES operations, or similar environments
• Proficiency in AMI systems and operational software tools
• Knowledge of smart metering technologies and communication
• Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills
• Written and Spoken English is essential;
  Arabic is preferred
