Head of Handover & Completion
Job Purpose
Lead and govern the end-to-end Data & Reporting function for Handover & Completion, establishing a robust digital ecosystem that enables accurate, real-time, and insight-driven decision-making across the project lifecycle. Accountable for data strategy, governance, analytics, visualization, and digital applications, ensuring seamless integration of systems, enterprise platforms, and reporting tools in alignment with corporate digital standards.
Job Context & Major ChallengesOversight of a mega-project data environment (>5 million records) across multiple platforms. Ensuring a single source of truth for all Handover & Completion data. Integration of systems, data repositories, reporting tools, and contractor systems. Driving digital transformation and automation across traditionally manual workflows. Delivering executive-level dashboards and reporting under tight project timelines. Enforcing data governance, standardization, and compliance across stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities- Define and lead the Data & Reporting Strategy for Handover & Completion, aligned with digital transformation objectives.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, standards, and quality controls across all systems and stakeholders.
- Oversee development and delivery of enterprise dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting packs.
- Lead integration of system completion databases, data repositories, and enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility.
- Direct the design, development, and deployment of digital applications and automation tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights and advanced analytics to senior leadership to support project performance and risk management.
- Manage and optimize data architecture, pipelines, and system interfaces across internal and contractor platforms.
- Drive data standardization across EPC contractors, ensuring consistency in reporting and handover deliverables.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing data and reporting team, including capability development and succession planning.
- Champion digital innovation, automation, and AI-driven opportunities within Handover & Completion processes.
- Act as the single point of accountability for all Handover & Completion reporting deliverables and ensure compliance with corporate policies, cybersecurity, and data management frameworks.
Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience across engineering, procurement, and construction phases within large-scale commissioning projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory capacity, including oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- Experience with Oil & Gas operators, contractors, or service companies.
- Knowledge of project execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and systems completion.
- Data strategy and governance implementation.
- Enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Digital transformation initiatives in project environments.
- Power BI (enterprise dashboard development, governance, deployment).
- Data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- SQL and large-scale database management.
Experience with
- System completion databases or equivalent platforms.
- Data Lake and cloud-based architectures.
- Power Apps / low-code platforms and automation tools.
- System integrations and API-based architectures.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate data into executive-level insights.
- Strong leadership and team management capability in multidisciplinary environments.
- Expertise in data visualization, storytelling, and performance reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills at senior and executive levels.
- Ability to manage complex interfaces across contractors and functions.
