Role OverviewThe Statistical Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting statistical data to support strategic planning, organizational performance measurement, and quality improvement initiatives. The role provides analytical insights, develops statistical reports, and supports evidence-based decision-making through the application of statistical techniques and data analysis methodologies.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, validate, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Perform statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and performance gaps.
- Prepare periodic statistical reports, dashboards, and analytical summaries for management.
- Support the development, monitoring, and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to support planning and quality initiatives.
- Assist in forecasting, predictive analysis, and performance modeling using appropriate statistical techniques.
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate analytical findings effectively.
- Support benchmarking studies, surveys, and research projects by applying statistical methodologies.
- Monitor data quality and recommend improvements to data collection and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand analytical requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Utilize statistical and business intelligence tools such as SPSS, R, Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations summarizing statistical findings.
- Ensure compliance with organizational data governance, quality standards, and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on statistical methods, analytical tools, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, SQL, Power BI, or statistical software are an advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in statistical analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, or performance analysis.
- Experience supporting strategic planning, quality management, or performance measurement is preferred.
- Experience in government or public sector organizations is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, quantitative analysis, and research methodologies.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, R, Python, SAS
, and database tools such as SQL
. - Experience with data visualization tools including Power BI or Tableau
. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in analytics and statistics.
