IT Network Specialist/Engineer

The IT Network Specialist/Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco networking, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, wireless solutions, and cloud networking in Azure and GCP. The role focuses on ensuring network availability, security, performance, troubleshooting, and implementing best practices to support business operations.
Responsibilities- Deploy, configure, and manage Cisco devices (Nexus 7k, ACI, 3850/9300, Wireless Controllers).
- Set up and maintain Cisco IP Telephony.
- Manage F5 load balancers.
- Configure and maintain firewalls (Cisco FTD, ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Administer VPN solutions (Any Connect, Site-to-Site).
- Manage Meraki switches and firewalls.
- Utilize Cisco ISE for access control and policy enforcement.
- Oversee Azure networking (NVAs, VNets, subscriptions).
- Handle GCP networking (VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, IAP).
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, AZ900, AZ700) preferred.
- Proven experience with Cisco networking equipment/software.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Knowledge of transport protocols and infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Experience with diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
