SAP Compliance Analyst (FI/CO, MM, HCM
Power International Holding (PIH) is seeking an SAP Functional Analyst with demonstrated expertise across FI/CO, MM, and HCM modules to join the Group Compliance function. This role is suited to a candidate with the technical depth of an SAP Business Analyst who is seeking to apply that expertise within a controls and risk monitoring capacity. Candidates will continue to work directly with SAP data — extracting, querying, and interpreting transactional records across Finance, Procurement, and HR — with the resulting output directed toward compliance monitoring and risk insight rather than system support or configuration.
This position is well suited to a senior SAP Business Analyst or Functional Analyst seeking to broaden into risk and governance while retaining the technical substance of SAP functional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze transactional data from SAP FI/CO, MM, and HCM modules to support compliance monitoring, policy testing, and control checks across payments, journal entries, GL postings, PR-to-PO cycles, vendor master data, payroll inputs, and employee lifecycle events
- Design and execute recurring data-driven compliance checks to identify control gaps, anomalies, duplicate transactions, threshold breaches, and segregation-of-duties conflicts
- Investigate root causes of identified exceptions in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and HR process owners
- Translate SAP table structures, transaction codes, and module logic into clear, actionable findings for non-technical stakeholders
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports (Excel, Power BI, or similar) summarizing compliance exceptions and trends
- Support the design and implementation of continuous monitoring routines, including KPI/KCI/KRI-style indicators sourced directly from SAP data
- Maintain documentation of SAP-based compliance checks, queries, and extraction logic to ensure repeatability and audit trail integrity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC, ideally spanning FI/CO, MM, and HCM modules, in a Business/Functional Analyst, Super User, or comparable capacity
- Demonstrated ability to extract and query SAP data independently (SAP Query, table/report extraction, or similar), without dependency on IT support
- Strong working knowledge of Finance, Procurement, and HR business processes and their associated controls
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools is an advantage
- Prior experience in compliance, internal audit, or risk functions is advantageous but not required where SAP functional depth is strong. Training will be provided on compliance frameworks and control indicator design; the SAP data expertise this role requires is not something we expect to train from scratch.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and written communication skills, capable of translating technical data into clear findings
- Based in or willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar
