We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting complex data sets from various sources. The Data Analyst will utilize their expertise to ensure that data is accurately collected, organized and used to support business decisions and operations.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS)
- Proven knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
- Familiarity with statistical methods and data analysis techniques (e.g., linear/logistic regression)
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and identify patterns/trends
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information in an understandable way
The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, organizing and analyzing large amounts of data from various sources. The individual must be able to work well independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. They must also have excellent problem solving skills and be able to think analytically to identify trends in the data.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing effective methods for collecting, organizing and analyzing data from multiple sources.
- Utilizing software programs such as Excel or SPSS for data analysis tasks.
- Performing statistical analysis on collected data sets in order to determine trends or patterns that can be used by the business for decision-making purposes.
- Working closely with other departments within the company in order to discuss their needs and explain the results of the analysis conducted on the data sets provided by them.
- Presenting complex information in an understandable way using charts or graphs when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field; advanced degrees preferred but not required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience performing similar tasks within a corporate environment; experience working with international companies preferred but not required
- Proficiency with standard database management systems such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Working knowledge of statistical methods including linear/logistic regression
