Virtualization Architect

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Virtualization Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade virtualization solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency, scalability, resilience, and performance across on-premise and cloud environments.

• - Design end-to-end virtualization architecture blueprints covering compute, storage, network, and cloud integration.
• - Plan and manage resource allocation, workload placement, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies within virtualized environments.
• - Lead and oversee the implementation of virtualization solutions in collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams.
• - Configure, manage, and optimize virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual storage resources.
• - Develop a virtualization strategy aligned with business objectives, IT standards, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• - Establish and maintain monitoring processes to track virtualization infrastructure performance, capacity, and health.
• - Implement integration with cloud platforms to ensure service continuity, scalability, and high availability.
• - Perform regular maintenance activities to ensure system stability, security, and minimal downtime.
• - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, availability, and capacity issues within the virtualized environment.
• - Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline virtual machine provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational efficiency.
• - Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
• - Stay current with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and infrastructure best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• - Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management.
• - At least 3 years of experience in software-defined storage (VNX).
• - Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud virtualization and high availability management.
• - Strong hands‑on expertise in enterprise virtualization platforms and infrastructure operations.
• - Proven ability to design, implement, and support highly available and scalable virtualized environments.
• - Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage complex infrastructure issues.
• - Experience working with cross‑functional IT teams and stakeholders.

• - VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
• - VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
• - Microsoft Azure Foundation
• - Google Cloud Foundation
