Job DescriptionThe Network Engineer manages UNIX, Novell, VMS, Windows or similar computer networks. Performs a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to enable users to maximize productivity. Assists in planning and development of network resources. The Network Engineer will design and implement systems that ensure effective connectivity for the respective locations on the Local Area Networks (LANs), MPLS and Wide Area Networks (WANs) that service the Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPN, WLAN).
Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks. Manage Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VMware environments. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability. Implement network security best practices and disaster recovery solutions. Maintain technical documentation and support infrastructure projects. Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of enterprise network administration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and Microsoft infrastructure.
- Experience with VMware, network monitoring tools, and ITIL processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
