Syntys is seeking a dedicated Data Center NOC Engineer to support the continuous monitoring and operation of mission-critical infrastructure within its Doha data center environment. This role is responsible for maintaining operational visibility, responding to incidents, coordinating escalations, and ensuring the highest levels of availability, reliability, and service continuity across critical systems.

As a Data Center NOC Engineer, you will serve as the first line of operational monitoring and incident response within a highly available data center environment. You will continuously monitor infrastructure platforms including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), CCTV, and Access Control systems. The role requires strong attention to detail, rapid decision-making, and effective communication during operational and incident management activities.
Working alongside Site Engineers, Site Leads, customers, and management teams, you will be responsible for ensuring alarms are addressed within SLA targets and that operational documentation remains accurate and up to date. - Monitor BMS, EPMS, DCIM, CCTV, and Access Control systems on a 24/7 basis.
- Respond to alarms and alerts within defined SLA requirements and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Log, categorize, and track incidents accurately using Service Now or approved ticketing platforms.
- Escalate incidents through established escalation procedures and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform scheduled system health checks and document operational status.
- Monitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, airflow, and power utilization.
- Track open incidents and proactively coordinate with relevant support teams until closure.
- Coordinate operational activities with Site Engineers, Site Leads, customers, and management teams.
- Generate daily, weekly, and shift reports covering incidents, alarms, system performance, and operational activities.
- Maintain comprehensive NOC documentation, operational logs, and shift records.
- Conduct detailed shift handovers to ensure uninterrupted operational support.
- Support remote hands activities and operational requests in coordination with on-site teams.
- Identify and report operational risks that could impact availability, reliability, or service levels.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a NOC, Help Desk, Technical Support, Data Center Operations, or Infrastructure Monitoring environment.
- Understanding of data center operations and critical facility infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge of power systems, cooling systems, environmental monitoring, and building management systems.
- Experience monitoring alarms, incidents, and operational events in a 24/7 environment.
- Familiarity with DCIM, BMS, EPMS, CCTV, and Access Control platforms.
- Experience using ticketing and incident management systems.
- Service Now experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and incident documentation capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during critical incidents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow operational procedures, escalation workflows, and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- ITIL Foundation certification or familiarity with IT Service Management practices.
- Experience working in Tier III or Tier IV data center environments.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and connectivity monitoring.
- Familiarity with SNMP-based monitoring tools and infrastructure monitoring platforms.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity monitoring and physical security systems.
