IT Network Specialist/Engineer Job Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Cisco network devices including Nexus 7k switches, Cisco ACI, Cisco 3850/9300 access switches, and Wireless Controllers.
• Set up and maintain Cisco IP Telephony systems for seamless voice communication.
• manage F5 load balancers to optimize network traffic and ensure redundancy.
• Configure and maintain various firewall solutions, including Cisco FTD, ASA, Palo Alto, and Fortinet, to protect network resources.
• Administer VPN solutions such as Cisco Any Connect and Site-to-Site VPNs, ensuring secure remote access and inter-site connectivity.
• Manage Meraki Switches and firewalls within the network infrastructure.
• Utilize Cisco ISE for network access control, policy enforcement, and secure network access.
• Oversee Azure network components, including Network Virtual Appliances and Virtual Networks, while understanding regions and subscriptions for optimized resource allocation.
• Handle GCP networking services, including VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, and Identity-Aware Proxy, to maintain a robust and secure cloud infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, AZ900, AZ700 are preferred but not Mandatory.
• Proven experience with Cisco networking equipment and software.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
