IT Support Engineer

Groupimar is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished IT Support Engineer with a strong background in corporate IT infrastructure and construction project environments to join our team on a full‑time basis in Doha, Qatar. In this specialized infrastructure and technical support role, you will spearhead providing day-to-day IT support, administering server infrastructure, configuring enterprise firewalls and VPNs, and managing local area networks across office and site locations.

You will work closely with project managers, construction supervisors, and corporate IT teams to ensure robust technology uptime and security compliance. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in information technology, deep practical mastery of networking and server administration, professional certifications (CCNA/CCNP), and immediate availability for deployment in Doha.

As an IT Support Engineer at Groupimar in Doha, Qatar, you will take full ownership of installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting office and construction site IT infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass managing server environments, administering user accounts and access controls, troubleshooting LAN/WAN networks, VLANs, switches, and routers, and configuring enterprise firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto). You will set up secure site-to-site and remote access VPNs, support ERP systems and project management tools, maintain comprehensive IT asset inventories, and enforce strict cybersecurity compliance.

Working in a fast-paced construction technology environment in Doha, you will drive infrastructure stability and end‑user support excellence.

• Provide comprehensive day-to-day IT technical support for office and construction site users across corporate and project locations.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure systems.
• Troubleshoot system, network, hardware, and application issues efficiently to minimize operational downtime.
• Administer user accounts, email systems, Active Directory, and enterprise access controls.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, VLANs, managed switches, and enterprise routers.
• Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise firewall security policies (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, or equivalent).
• Set up, secure, and manage site-to-site and remote access VPN tunnels for secure branch connectivity.
• Support corporate ERP systems, project management tools, and construction-specific enterprise applications.
• Maintain rigorous IT documentation, hardware/software asset inventories, and cybersecurity compliance audits.
• Provide independent, onsite technical support and emergency troubleshooting when required across multi-site project environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in IT support with strong infrastructure and networking exposure.
• Deep hands-on technical proficiency in server administration, enterprise networking, and cybersecurity.
• Strong, practical knowledge of firewall configurations, VPNs, advanced routing, and switching protocols.
• Proven experience supporting construction, engineering, or multi-site project environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities, independent problem-solving aptitude, and customer-centric communication skills.
