HOW A NETWORK MANAGER II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Analyzes, administers and maintains voice, video, and/or data communications networks.

Manages the usage and performance of voice, video and/or data communications networks.

Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.

Evaluates hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment.

Participates in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.

Participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.

Interfaces with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.

Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.

Provides advice and training to end-users.

Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.

Participates in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Security
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – RS or Datacenter

2-5 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.

GENERAL

EXPERIENCE:

Intermediate level of experience in design, maintenance, and operation of medium to large networks. Must have experience in systems management, monitoring and sustainment.

SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Cisco routing and switching technologies
Managing networks with industry standard platforms, Network Performance Analysis, Cisco IOS Network Configuration, and Network Troubleshooting
Establishing new circuit requirements
Documenting network enterprise, developing continuity folders, and as built drawings

The likely salary range for this position is $70,658 - $84,916. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
